I'm Thiwanka S. Tissera, an International Chess Arbiter since 2002. In 2022, I was honored to be selected for the esteemed Blue Group of Arbiters by the World Chess Federation (FIDE). With a deep passion for chess, I am the proud owner of TSTChess Club and this website.

As a Licensed Chess Coach, I hold the esteemed title of National Instructor bestowed upon me by the World Chess Federation. My journey as a chess coach began back in 1997, and over the years, I have had the privilege of guiding numerous students to the pinnacle of success in both National and International level chess competitions.

One of my true joys is coaching young minds, particularly children aged 8 to 14 years old. With a wealth of experience in this age group, I have witnessed the transformative power of chess in enhancing critical thinking, strategic planning, and fostering a lifelong love for the game.
